Top tips to enjoying Christmas without the guilt
For some of us, we just can’t seem to hit that off-switch when needed.
By no means is that a bad thing! Growing a fitness business is at times like nurturing a newborn. You want them to grow to their full potential whilst being on your hands and knees 24/7, doing everything you possibly can to ensure it’s successful.
If you read our last post you will already know our handy tips on unwinding during the festive period, now we’re coming at you with our top ways to prevent the guilt you may feel from taking a much-needed break.
You deserve a break
No one ever wants to take time off from their business, but sometimes, that’s all you need!
Even if it’s just 3-4 days over Christmas, being able to take time out to relax with family and loved ones is so so vital to not only your mental health but also your physical health.
And don’t worry, clients won’t see you as a slacker! Because like you, they too will be unwinding with family and more than likely consuming a few extra calories which they may or may not tell you about 👀
Take time off when business is slower than usual
Christmas is the most perfect time to relax.
It’s a good way to close off the year and welcome the new year, re-coup and put plans in place ready to attack the new year head-on!
Time off doesn’t have to be spent doing nothing.
Invest some of it to further education. As a fitness professional the resources available to us are incredible. Listen to short 30minute podcasts during your morning walk or even start an online course, dedicating an hour of your time every evening before bed.
Not only will this show your clients that you too know how to relax, but it will also show them you’re dedicated to bettering your services and helping them achieve their goals.
Anything you can do that adds to your well-being can be classed as self-care. Whether that’s meditation, a nice relaxing massage, a meal out with close family or even going to the movies with your loved one. All of these help to lower your stress & anxiety levels.
It’s time to stop putting yourself last.
